  The food is still as flavorful as Jim & Robs, but the preparation and staff training have really slipped.
  I hadn't been there in a long time but we had errands that took us into downtown. So we figured we'd stop and get lunch to go.
  Once home, we discovered the side of rice we ordered hadn't been put in the lunches or in a side container. I called and asked them to credit the credit card with the difference. The person there said I had to drive back to the other side of Ventura to the restaurant (in the pouring rain!) and she could do a cash refund. But they couldn't do a card credit because the manager wouldn't let them and the manager wasn't there.
  So they expected me to burn $5.50 worth of gas to collect a $3 + tax overcharge. Didn't seem right.
  Or, I could call the manager tomorrow during a small window of time to have them handle it. I suggested they call their manager and get permission to issue it and do so. She said she wasn't allowed to call the manager or the owner.
  So after that pile of horse manure we sat down to eat. We open the two lunches of 2 tacos each, ordered with "no onions" and what do we find? Lots of onions.
  There were several other staff training issues but if the owners don't trust them enough to do basic cash register functions, those issues will never be resolved.
  Now after picking out the onions the tortillas have turned to mush so we're eating the tacos in a bowl with knife and fork. That turned out to be a good thing because my better half discovered a twig like thing in her carnitas and a 2- 3/4 inch chicken bone in the chicken axiote.
  Conclusion: Nothing we experienced isn't fixable. But unless the owners get really serious about keeping customers, it's a "used to be".
  From here on out, we'll go to Ojai.
