  Corporate Store did nothing to fixh my problem after Technical Support told me they could. Have a worthless phone that malfunctions daily that has already been replaced. Paying monthly for a phone that doesn't work. Their only solution is to send me the same phone, which is unacceptable. Shopping for new carrier now.

  As a business owner I NEVER write a bad review. The staffs at both Verizon outlets, on Mills Road and Victoria Road were professional and courteous. My complaint is not about them but about a Verizon product.
  
  I have a pre-paid plan that cost me $40 a month. I own a Samsung J36 smart phone.
  
  This phone is designed without the capacity to block text messages. I've spoken to Verizon on the phone for 45 minutes about this. The representative reduced my rate plan from $45 to $40. (Thank you for that.)
  
  The personnel at the Mills location told me to go online to My Verizon account where I could block numbers. I went online and that option on the pre-paid plan does not exist.
  
  Then I took my phone to the Victoria Road location where the staff went thru my phone thinking it was a simple push of a button. After 10 minutes of going through my settings, and asking her co-worker to help, she came to understand my situation. She explained to me that my phone does not have that simple feature. In order to block texting I need a new phone that automatically comes with a new plan (BTW, you were very nice).
  
  The cheapest phone they have would cost me $29 a month for 24 months. Then I would need to upgrade my plan from $40 to $55. The simple feature of blocking text would cost an extra $540 a year.
  
  My complaint is this: Verizon could easy have included blocking on this plan and this phone was DESIGNED with this lack of a feature in mind. It's an attempt to FORCE people to upgrade their phones. The AT&T phone I owned, before the iPhone 3 was released in July 11, 2008 , had a blocking feature.
  
  Remember, our technical feats as a species; we've put men on the moon, we’ve been to the bottom of the ocean, we have probes in deep space and all were performed with electrical systems far inferior to the capacity in our Smart Phones.
  
  The simple blocking feature was not an over looked mistake in the design of this phone nor missed on accident for the pre-paid plan.
  
  In closing, Verizon is attempting to force customers into plans they do not want and the Samsung J36 phone was designed with this in mind. Phones that have more capacity than the Voyager space probe cannot carry out the simple function of blocking text? This was not an accident.
  
  The personnel at both locations were professional and courteous.
